| Maybe I should stop taking cat naps..... |

Just woke up from a catnap and the Weirdest Dream Ever. First, I was playing football, and throwing the ball well, which, as we all know, could Never Ever happen in real life (I throw worse than a girl! :P). Then somehow we (me and random friend X who I knew to be my best friend, but now I have no idea who it was or what he looked like) we at a beach, and the surf was AMAZING, I mean, like harryhausen style waves from like Crash of the Titans or something, and I had somehow torn something in my arm, and I was trying out for something, and I was like, 'yeaaaaaaaah, well I can still throw better than the best person youve got right now' (that kinda attitude was the only realistic thing that had happened so far! :P) And I could, so there you go :P Then somehow it had NOTHING to do with that, and Gio and I were babbling (as we often do) in her room, though then everything was kinda flipped around in a not-quite mirror image of everything (but it seemed normal at the time). And then, someone that I'm don't really care about at the moment (but it's an intense 'don't care' :P) was suddenly in my room, and I was rolling my eyes at Gio, and she was like 'just go over there, and stop being rude', and I did, and we were talking about something ridiculously random, though my arm was still in a sling. ...on reflection, it only seemed weird when I woke up. Or, it still feels weird, but nothing about what happened was particularly weird. I guess.

1. Weddings are amazing! Especially when they go off without a hitch (er..... *cough* that one doesn't count...). And everything is really pretty. 2. Planning said wedding = less amazing. New meaning to the phrase Hell-Week! 3. Weather gets in the way of good skiing (but hopefully this week will have tons of snow, so much so that it DOESNT snow when I go back up to Squaw Jan 2nd-8th) 4. Using ski boots that have actual like... stiffness to them (vs soft pink goop) is nice.... until the shins get all red and painful. I think it's wrong that deadened nerves grow back after years of non-deadifying-ness! (they probably didnt grow back, or didnt die to begin with, but i do not like them making their existence known!) 4. New skis are good. The only available bindings being ones that have a DIN setting from 6-14 (when I use 5) is bad. Esp. as the dad is like 'ummmm I don't think I like you using those.' So I might have to wait and have bindingless skis?! That's kinda like torture. Seriously! 5. Last night provided some much needed Shelly-goodness :) And Castro/Mongolian BBQ/Gelato fests! :) But catching up was definitely of the good!

Bol is nowhere near as hilly as a WaterFountain run! (my calves huuurt, but seriously, if we alternate Bol/fountain my calves'll look so nice :P) And that extra mile + ish makes a HUGE difference. Yay horses, though... And I satisfied my good samaritan quota for the week! :) I want cake! and pie! and donuts. Though it was nice having them last night post-hike :) Dude, maybe I hurt more because of the hilly night hike from last night and THEN the hill run today. (I am sooo smart :P)

I apparently did the same thing as Prav (just shifted by a few hours, because of the time diff :P) - So, I had to resched running with rob this morning, and thought, well, when i 'cheat' on him, i normally end up running around 7, so let's do that... Unfortunately that meant I conked out around 9 (which, as anyone who knows me knows, is WAY too early)... This, of course, meant I woke up at 1 and couldn't get back to sleep... (grargh)

So... Wow. I'm only writing this, because I told shelly I would (and I still have waaaay too much adrenaline to sleep yet, though that run tomorrow with rob might suffer for it :P) The time is 10:50. The N-Judah comes by. And the sign in the window says "Caltrain/Ballpark". Naively choosing to believe that signs might actually have some meaning, we get on. We talk and joke about the drunk group that we pass, and know that we're on our way home. We relayed our ridiculous story to Roberta as she drove us back, thanked her again, and again, and again, promised her a batch of cinnamon rolls (which... shelly will be making... hm, i need to think of some way to repay her...) Shelly has a 10 minute talk to write by 1pm tomorrow, and Rob is going running with me (it was supposed to be at 8am... Yeah, no. I don't care how hot it is, we're going at 9:30. I say this now, but I'm sure I'll be moaning as I melt away tmr....er, later on today) Anyway, all is posted, as promised! I just hope lucia and kris had a better time of it.... :P

I'll leave a semi-rambly post sometime.. not now, but just had to say that I LOVE those days when you just happen to look really hot and look like your legs go on for miles :) (and randomly run into certain people (M) when you're out to dinner - Dad's bday so we hit Osteria...) and also, I think that nice maitre d at Mad & 5th was being overly sweet to Steph and me (for being cute girls) when we hit the bar for a drink while waiting on University on Tuesday... Since this time we went in and he was like 'um, hi, actually, we're closing soon' when we were gonna go in around the same time :P

1. Now I know what people mean when they say England's rainy :P But it's definitely not as rainy as I was thinking it might be... And it's been horrid and sunny(ish) for the past few days now! Though no rain is better for rowing, still... Can't it be cloudy and dry? 2. There are some days where 2 hours of sleep are sooo worth the pain of being awake the day 3. Busy(ish) but things are going well.

1. GAH I'm leaving for uk-ness so soooon! I have to do laundry and pack and do last minute shopping and homework~! 2. I blame Ray and his very strong half and half first drink for pretty much EVERYTHING that happened on New Years :P Though it was great fun (and I need to see those photos before they hit the public, shelly!) 3. My shallow goals (to satisfy my vanity) have been almost met~ *dance* woot for that 4. My hair gets ridiculously curly if I tie it up when it's wet. (The more you know~~) 5. I have just barely begun my all chocolate diet ;) Let's see how that works out ;)

1. I love holidays, except when it means I have to meet up with my relatives, and I'm the only single cousin old enough to get the whole 'settle down' talk every time I turn around. I don't WANT to settle down with anyone, let alone a 'nice Indian boy.' They make me feel like I'm some kind of socially retarded spinster. I'm only 21, dammit! 2. I love that I found Vanilla Spice bubble bath again :) I love Xmas mainly for this one thing :P 3. Shopping with the girls is ridiculously fun - especially when it results in sexy dresses~! Though we've rediscovered that me in a cutesy dress... Does NOT work. 4. Glad to see some of the gang again (Steph and I are in a tragically similar situation :P, Yong and Bishy are as amusing as ever, Shelly is as insane as ever, and Stevie is very stevie :))...Will be glad to see more after Xmas ends! (Plus, randomly ran into Kimmie, Celka, and Tracy when waiting for people and getting dinner! It was so nice to catch up a little :)) 5. I really want to send someone a rant/message/("DTR" - Shelly) but... I'm not that gutsy ;) Or masochistic. Especially as I'm pretty much ranting about how I know that there's nothing to rant about? If... that makes sense :P (And if it doesn't, I clearly don't care :P) 6. I can't believe there are less than 2 weeks left before I'm back at St. Hugh's... When did THAT happen?? 7. A blackberry is a lifesaver at painful holiday gatherings. 8. Tokyo was entertaining as always... Except, my boss totally told me 'just one meeting, megha. just so you can make some introductions and do the whole proper handoff... You'll get a week's expensed vacation out of it...' Which of course turns into a few meetings every day the whole time I'm there :( *sigh* Well, to be fair, I only had one meeting planned before my flight left SFO... It's just that once everyone found out I was coming into town (and with my boss, no less) a bunch of old friends/contacts 'had to meet up' with me, and introduce us both to more people. Ah wells, they were all with fun people so I approved of that (and I got to see a lot of my friends! So yay there too. Plus getting to see ex's. And having no awkwardness!) The one tragedy is that so many of the space cadets (they're like interns, but more permanent :P) that I met had such sexy hands! It's distracting and unfair and I protest at this subtle yet amazingly effective tactic to get me out of balance :P I mean, really now. Though space cadets make for good flirt-with-able eye candy, so I guess it evens out :P Of course, when I came back, I practically slept for the whole week (business being late nights, lots of drinking, and early mornings) and I'm only now starting to get back into the swing of things :P 9. I've re-discovered dancing around my room and badly singing random songs. I love soundproof walls/doors :) *twirl* 10. I love getting sucked into a book and finishing it in a few hours... It's been a while since I've read a good new book :P And I can only read my old favorites so many time before it's just silly cause I know all the words to them anyway And that's it-ish. For now.

Updates~!: 1. In pa again! *so the US cell phone is on... Dial me up!* 2. Really tired! *though that's more because the flight made my slight cough become a cold than because of jetlaggyness* 3. Have to get muchmuch better by Friday *short week trip - 1 day in Seoul, 6ish in Tokyo* 4. I love my bed! *yay space to pretty much house an entire family on it if I felt like* 5. I love my tub! *I've been back for 24 hours... asleep for most of them... and have already had 2 bubble baths ;)* 6. Pumpkin pie kicks much ass *Thanksgiving in Dec is strange, but who am I to complain when I get pumpkin pie, turkey (with stuffing, of course) and cranberry sauce? :P* Um, that's really it! (ish)

I don't know if it's because of my upcoming move to UK (omg 19 days!!! :D:D) or the fact that I've been going out running every day (upgraded from the every other day I started with the help of the darling shelly :)) but I've been very peppy lately. *dance* And I've finally got off my lazy ass and am actually clearing all the junk in my room when I'm not conked from work. That's really all I had to say :) mood: ecstatic music: Appreciation - Sinclair |

Is it bad that I still love getting my ego stroked at networking parties? (Yes, I know there were only 5 girls out of the forty-fifty/sixtyish people, but still, I did get hit *edit: hit on*! Which is kinda funny, because my ego SO doesn't need to get any bigger :P) Now, time to eat. That is all!

Updates: Superbad was entertaining. Very very wrong and entertaining... And McLovin was clearly badass. :) Lunar eclipse was awesome - yay redness... Though boo to the coldness that was shoreline :P Because we ended up leaving shoreline around..... 5amish? maybe 5.30amish, I didn't get to bed until like 6, and I was PLANNING to wake up @ 8 to go running before hitting the beach (that SO didn't happen)... Instead, at 8, i reset my alarm *I thought* to ring at 9am, so I'd have time to have a shower before meeting up with Mimsy @ 10. I fumble with my phone, and see a missed call from Mimsy.. Then go, "what time is it???" and see it's 9.50, and freak, leave a msg on her machine, run into the shower (banging my toe on the desk, btw, which hurt! :P) etcetc, but I don't take too long, so we only left like 15-20min after we were planning to :P Santa Cruz was awesome, of course, because first, we went to this still-semi-foggy beach about 5min (drive) from the boardwalk+beach with this REALLY pretty natural bridge and some nice little waves (Mimsy brought her boogie board and Mandy and I vegged out - Mandy took some pretty fun pics of that, btw)....... Nearby there were a few guys who were pretty good surfers surfing, but the tide was too high, so it seemed. complicatedish... Then, after getting something to eat, we hit the boardwalk's beach which was a LOT sunnier, and the sand was so much softer :) The other beach was more... ruggedish? Whatever. Anyway! Mimsy also showed me how to boogie board.... And that was entertaining (esp when I seriously missed a wave :P that was hilarious :P) Now, I'm much tanner than I was (Mimsy got freckles on her nose. Awwwww :P) and waaaaaay sleepy. :) End update! :P mood: lethargic |
